The first stilt walkers festival in the CDMX will take place this weekend! Chintika is an event where you will see a circus troupe, juggling, dance, acrobatics and much more. This party will make your whole family fall in love, especially the little ones.
Let’s remember that this July 27th is International Stilt Walking Day, so the celebration could not go unnoticed. Utopia Cuauhtlicalli, in the Iztapalapa district, organized this party that is celebrated from the heights.
Stilt walkers from Pro-alterne Teatro and the Escuela de Teatro will gather in their most colorful attire to lead a comparsa. You can also join in with your costumes and stilts!
Chintika activities begin at 12:00 noon on Sunday, July 27. The program includes performances of performing arts, music, circus, puppetry, acrobatics and workshops – all for free!
How to get to the stilt-walking festival in Iztapalapa?

The event will take place on Alfonso Toro Street , Escuadrón 201 neighborhood, Iztapalapa. The easiest way to get there is by Metro; the closest station is Escuadrón 201 on Line 8. When leaving, it is enough to walk about 6 minutes.
We recommend you arrive early to Utopia and get ready for the comparsa. And don’t forget to bring comfortable shoes, sunscreen and hydration.
