This weekend we will have in CDMX a tribute to José José, this in order to commemorate his sixth anniversary of his death. Fans will gather at Parque de la China, in Azcapotzalco, where they will remember the greatest hits of the Mexican singer.
José José was a Mexican singer who had an extensive artistic career. Throughout his career he performed emblematic songs such as “El triste”, “La nave del olvido” and “He renunciado a ti”, among many others.
He was born in 1948 in Mexico City and died on September 28, 2019 in the United States. He spent an important part of his life in Azcapotzalco, a municipality where he is held in great affection; there is even a park with a statue of the singer.
Everything about the tribute to José José José in CDMX
This tribute will take place on Saturday, September 27 at 11:00 am. The venue will be the Parque de la China ( Clavería Avenue, San Miguel Amantla, Azcapotzalco).
According to the mayor’s office through social networks, the tribute will be full of music and memories of the man also known as the “Prince of Song”. Come and remember José José with his greatest hits.
It is worth mentioning that the Azcapotzalco municipality has an exhibition called “José José José: Colección Privada”, which you can visit until November 20 at the Casa de Cultura de Azcapotzalco.
In the exhibition you will see costumes, musical instruments and many other items.
