Korean cuisine continues to take the city by storm, and now it’s set to do so with an event dedicated to Korean seafood in Mexico City. From July 16 to 18, the K·FISH Pop-Up Store & Cooking Show will open its doors at Estudio Goula, featuring tastings, live cooking demonstrations, and interactive experiences to introduce seafood lovers and curious visitors to premium Korean seafood. Best of all, admission is completely free.
This will be K·FISH’s first major event in Mexico. K·FISH is a brand backed by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries of the Republic of Korea that promotes products certified to its standards of quality, freshness, and sustainability, while also fostering culinary exchange between the two countries.
There will be a cooking show featuring a judge from MasterChef Korea
One of the must-see highlights will be the Cooking Show on July 16, scheduled from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., led by Chef Leo Kang, who served as a judge on MasterChef Korea. In addition to training under French chef Pierre Koffmann, he worked at a Gordon Ramsay restaurant and currently heads the seafood brand Subingo.
For this visit to Mexico City, K·FISH has prepared two exclusive recipes that combine Korean ingredients with international flavors: a Korean halibut ceviche, inspired by one of Mexico’s most iconic dishes, and an abalone gazpacho, a refreshing dish with Mediterranean influences.
The event will also be hosted by Christian Burgos, a Mexican content creator known for promoting Korean culture and bringing it to Latin American audiences.
Tastings, games, and lots of free activities
In addition to the Cooking Show, during the three days of the pop-up, you’ll find free tastings, an exhibition of Korean seafood in Mexico City and K·FISH products, photo opportunities, activities inspired by Korean culture, giveaways, and events to discover ingredients that rarely make it to the Mexican market.
