Do you remember what it was like to rent a movie? In this place you can still live that experience. Meet the last video store in the CDMX, a space full of nostalgia and many unmissable movies.
Before streaming existed, we used to go to the video store to rent a movie or see the season’s premieres. We would present our credential or membership and take the tape home for a few days. Some of us still rented VHS, while others lived this experience with DVD tapes.
With the new platforms and the passing of time, these spaces gradually disappeared. However, there is still a video store in CDMX that rents movies and even offers candy and chips. Did you know about it?
This is the last video store in Mexico City.

Videoclub Amores is located in Colonia del Valle, an incredible space where you can rent movies on DVD and Blu ray. It opened its doors in 1984 and in its catalog you will find classic films and even movies that are not on streaming. Of course there are also new releases.
The shelves are classified by genre and some by actor. Renting a movie costs only $25 and you can borrow it for three days; however, there is also a promotion in which you can rent six movies for 100 pesos.
In order to rent a movie you must present an official ID. And since a movie is not complete without candy, they also sell candy, chips and everything you need for your movie afternoon.
Located at Amores 1649, colonia Del Valle. They are open from Monday to Saturday from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm. Here we tell you about our experience at the place and everything you will find.
