Now you have the perfect place to show off your flared skirt, your floral headpiece, and your cowboy boots! During March’s Museum Night, the Franz Mayer Museum will celebrate “meximalist” fashion with activities and guest experts on the most iconic and inspiring wardrobes.
To celebrate the culture where “more is more,” this venue went all out with a program dedicated to fashion, Mexican symbols, and folklore. Thus, next Wednesday, March 25, this venue will literally become a catwalk.
Starting at 6:00 PM, you can participate in various activities such as embossing workshops, sweater-making, and even a workshop to color a Chicano baby.
There will also be guided tours of the exhibitions ¡Moda hoy! and Pierre et Gilles: The Construction of the Symbol, as well as a special tour of the Franz collection titled “The Dandies of the Collection.” You’ll also have the chance to explore part of Ruth D. Lechuga’s collection of indigenous culture.

At 8:00 p.m., in the Cloister, there will be a fashion show featuring surprising designs that transform street art and Mexican culture into memorable outfits . This show will be presented by Méximalismo and Colectiva en pro de la moda.
As we mentioned, this event will feature very special guests, such as Johnny Carmona, who will be the host, as well as Baal Moon and Barrio Bravo, DJs who will set the best atmosphere.
