There are little animals that leave a lasting mark on our hearts. If you have a dog, cat, or other pet that has passed away, you can remember them in a very special way at Mictlánimal, a massive offering for animals in Mexico City that will take place on October 31 and November 1.
The event will take place at the Villa Panamericana Open-Air Theater in Coyoacán, where a collective offering dedicated to the little animals who have passed on will be set up.
The idea is simple: bring a photo of your pet to place on the massive offering and honor its memory with lots of love and… The idea is to create a space where families can remember those companions who left a mark on their lives.
There will be a costume contest, adoptions, and a bazaar at Mictlánimal
In addition to the massive offering for pets, this event will feature various activities on both days.
One of the activities will be a Halloween costume contest, scheduled for 4:00 p.m. on October 31 and November 1. Registration is free and will begin 30 minutes earlier, at 3:30 p.m. There will be prizes for first, second, and third place.
Guest rescue volunteers will also participate, and adoptions will be available for animals looking for a family. You’ll also find a bazaar area and a donation drop-off point to support the animals.
If you’d like to contribute, you can bring dry food in unopened bags, wet food, clothing, accessories, and other items to donate.

Mictlánimal will take place over two days, so you’ll have the opportunity to bring a photo of your pet and add it to this collective tribute.
