Giant skulls commemorate the Day of the Dead 2024! The exhibition of monumental skulls, Mexicraneos, returned to Parque Bicentenario with new pieces. Get your camera ready and run to take pictures.
As every year, the iconic (and giant) skulls arrive in Mexico City for Halloween and Day of the Dead. Each piece is intervened by an artist selected in a previous contest. This edition is a tribute to the natural spaces, diversity and culture of Parque Bicentenario.
That is why you will see designs that represent the origin, flora, fauna and the people who visit the park. In total there are 12 new skulls that you will be able to see from 📅12 October 2024.
It should be noted that the first three works are already on display; they will be unveiled three at a time every weekend until October 12. You will be able to see the skull exhibition until January 2025 at Parque Bicentenario.
This time the exhibit will not be on Paseo de la Reforma (as in previous years). However, there will be a special exhibition that will be confirmed in the coming days.
There will be the giant skulls from years past!
Get your best outfit ready because you won’t stop taking pictures. The exhibition is not only made up of pieces from 2024, but also from previous years.
You will see skulls from 2023 next to the basketball courts, while the others surround the park’s artificial lake. There are also some benches with catrinas, dare to sit next to them!
