Before raising a glass of this spirit, have you ever wondered about the agave it came from, the name of its producer, or the region where it was made? If you love mezcal, the “Sabores Mezcaleros” festival in Coyoacán is sure to be the perfect place to clear up all your questions and learn more about the drink.
It’s time to top up your mezcal . This event will bring together around 30 brands and 50 exhibitors visiting us from states such as Oaxaca, Guerrero, Michoacán, and the State of Mexico.
We recommend arriving early to discover the different types of agave, participate in tastings, and join sensory experiences.
If you’re truly in the mood to embark on a journey toward expertise, you can join the tastings led by experts and featuring master mezcal makers. These sessions are complemented by pairings with other ingredients like cheese or chocolate. It’s worth noting that, although admission to the festival is free, these tastings have an additional cost.
In addition to bottles, other artisanal products such as jewelry, footwear, and eyewear will be available for purchase; there will also be a wide variety of dishes on offer.
When and where will the “Sabores Mezcaleros” Food and Craft Festival take place?

This mezcal festival will take place on May 23 and 24 at the Club Gourmet ( Miguel Ángel de Quevedo 292, Santa Catarina, Coyoacán). You can attend from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM with your whole family.
One of the key ways to promote Mexico’s mezcal culture is simply to get to know the producers, their traditions, and the process they follow to create a particular brand. Most of the time, we don’t have the chance to experience this firsthand in the countryside, but events like this offer the perfect opportunity to get a taste of it right here in the city—even if you’re a beginner. Will you join us?
