During this time of the year the corn harvest is carried out. Corn of different varieties and colors are waiting to be used and enjoyed. This gastronomic event is not only about cooking, but also about paying tribute to the culinary heritage of the families of Santa Ana Tlacotenco.
Among the options you can try are: chileatole, jellies, cakes, atole, prepared corn, esquites, tamales, hot cakes, quesadillas, flan, chiles en nogada and much more.
One of the most awaited preparations are the tlaxcales, a bread made with corn dough and cooked on a comal. This is one of the not-to-be-missed dishes, so don’t miss the opportunity to try it.
When will the Gastronomic and Elote Fair 2025 be held?
This festival of flavors will take place from September 6 to 21, in the Civic Plaza of Santa Ana Tlacotenco. This place is located at km 26 of the Xochimilco-Oaxtepec highway, in Milpa Alta.
The event will feature various artistic performances. The program has not yet been revealed, but we can tell you that the group Nicté Ha will captivate everyone with a folkloric dance performance. It will take place on Saturday, September 6, at 3:00 pm.
