This Friday night , September 19, a tribute concert with Mozart’s music will be held at the Plaza de las Tres Culturas, as part of the activities for the 40th anniversary of the 1985 earthquake.
It will be led by the Mexico City Philharmonic Orchestra. During the event will be performed Requiem by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. On stage you will see Anabel de la Mora, Rodrigo Urrutia and more artists. The orchestra will be conducted by Scott Yoo.
It is worth mentioning that this concert, as well as the other activities included in the program, is a tribute to all those who died after the 1985 earthquake.
What time will the concert with Mozart’s music be at the Plaza de las Tres Culturas?
The concert will begin at 8:00 p.m. and will be free of charge. It is worth mentioning that the program includes other activities, which will begin a couple of hours before.
At 6:00 p.m. the Barro Rojo Company will present the dance show “Cuando la tierra habló, septiembre, otoño en el olvido” (When the earth spoke, September, autumn in oblivion). Once this presentation is over, a short film called “September” will be screened.
It is important to mention that this tribute concert is part of the “40 years. Memory of an earthquake. When the people saved the people”, according to a press release.
