Museum Night 2026 in Mexico City is coming soon!
Get ready to sleep in late for this artistic tour that will be totally worth it. As on every last Wednesday of the month, on April 29, many museums in our city will offer a special program featuring dance, music, and other artistic expressions. This time, children’s games and activities will be added to celebrate Children’s Day 2026.

The Franz Mayer Museum will host a literary party where you’ll take center stage. The main plan is to attend dressed as your favorite character to take advantage of the 2-for-1 ticket offer and participate in a contest, a scavenger hunt through the galleries, and a book exchange among readers.
Your ticket includes full access to the current exhibitions, such as ” Oficios de la tinta ” and ” Ellos querían una casa.” It’s the perfect way to experience the museum in a relaxed atmosphere, with a variety of activities and the best vibe in the Historic Center.

A Jurassic experience at the Tezozómoc Museum to celebrate the little ones. If you’re looking for a family-friendly activity during Museum Night, the Tezozómoc Museum will host a dinosaur-themed program featuring a camp-style sleepover, night tours, 3D screenings, workshops, and interactive activities for children.

The Luis Enrique Erro Planetarium presents “Journey to the Moon’s Surface,” a program featuring live astronomical observation, workshops about the Moon, and activities supported by the Ticomán Astronomical Society and Skyshop. The event is free and has limited space, so we recommend arriving early.

At this beautiful venue, you can join the free concert “Voices of Dawn and Silence,” presented by the National Mexican Opera Company and the Orizaba Monumental Choir, who will perform works by Mexican composer José Francisco Vázquez Cano. During the second half of the concert, children’s songs will be performed to celebrate Children’s Day 2026.

This venue presents “Sensory Conjunctions: Murals, Music, and Dance,” a series of performances including the second act of the ballet Giselle, as well as blues concerts and a special tour.

If dancing is your thing, join the “Baile por la plurisonoridad” sound system event, which will have you showing off your best moves on the dance floor; the atmosphere will be curated by the Musas Sonideras Amplificadas collective. Please note that capacity is limited to 250 people, so we recommend arriving early.
Futurama Cultural Center

April’s Museum Night will be a true time machine. At this venue, the music of the King of Rock will transport you back to the 1950s and 1960s. Get ready to relive Elvis Presley’s hits with a tribute concert!
Space is limited to 150 people.
National Museum of Printmaking

As we mentioned, this edition of Museum Night will feature plenty of activities to celebrate Children’s Day 2026, and this is one of them.
It’s a jazz concert presented by artist Juan Carlos Guarneros, who will perform songs especially for children.

This is a great opportunity to add new dance moves to your repertoire! The Palacio de Autonomía will host a “Tango Night” featuring a performance of this dance style, as well as a class where you’ll learn more about the basic moves of this genre. Space is limited to 150 people.
Yancuic Museum

Let your friends with a sixties soul know! This venue will turn into a time machine with an oldies concert by the band Los Carambapapas. The show will feature a tribute to The Beatles. Arrive early, as space is limited to 280 people.
Chocolate Museum

Let the kids know! At MUCHO, there will be a “Literary Fandango,” a party featuring children’s books related to Mexico’s indigenous peoples.
In addition, there will be workshops on making chocolate in a metate ($250), tastings ($300), and more. Kids under 11 who come in their pajamas will receive a free chocolate treat!

The Futurama Cultural Center revives the golden age of rock and roll with a concert dedicated to the greatest hits of Elvis Presley. Since the venue has a maximum capacity of 150 attendees, we recommend arriving early. Get ready to enjoy the legendary songs of the 1950s and 1960s!

The exhibition designed by photographer Pepe Soho offers a special evening opening focused on urban disconnection and introspection. Through immersive technology, attendees explore dreamlike landscapes and sensory environments that translate nature into habitable works of art, seeking a spiritual connection through visual and auditory stimuli.
Tequila and Mezcal Museum

If you’re in the mood to party midweek, head to this museum, which will host a rock concert by the band Moroachi. You’ll also have the chance to explore the museum on a guided tour.
