The forests of Los Dinamos are once again bursting with life with the start of the rainy season, and with it come the much-anticipated mushroom tours in Los Dinamos. This mycological hiking experience invites you to discover the enormous diversity of wild mushrooms that inhabit this Mexico City forest while learning from experts.
During the hike, you’ll be accompanied by a mycologist who specializes in mushrooms and local guides from the community, who will share information about the species that appear during the season, their importance to the ecosystem, and the vital role they play within the forest.
Here’s what the mushroom tours in Los Dinamos will be like
The tour is designed for those who enjoy hiking, nature, or are simply looking for something different to do in Mexico City. Along the way, you’ll be able to observe different species of wild mushrooms, learn how to identify them, and discover why the Fungi Kingdom is essential to biodiversity.
Since groups are kept small to ensure a better experience, space is limited. In addition to the traditional tour, there will be a culinary edition in September, the cost of which will be announced directly by the organizers.
