The first thing you should know is that this exhibition is open to the public at the Museo Antiguo Palacio de Iturbide, also known as Palacio de Cultura CitiBanamex, and will be open to the public until February 2025.

What awaits you? 379 Christmas nativity scenes made up of approximately 2,590 pieces, all created by talented masters and masters of Mexican folk art!
They come from 66 different places located in 19 states of the country. These unique pieces are made from materials such as clay, wood, paper, cardboard, stone, textiles and more.
And if you are a true lover of Mexican folk art you should know that you will also find the famous trees of life from Metepec, State of Mexico.
Where else can you find Christmas nativity scenes?
In case you didn’t know, there is a bazaar full of hand-painted nativity scenes that took more than 10 months to make. Every year they travel to CDMX to exhibit their wonderful work.
However, as it is a dying art, less and less artisans travel to the city every year, making it a must-see during this time of the year! You will find it at the Velódromo Olímpico Agustín Melgar (Radamés Treviño s/n, Jardín Balbuena).
