Save the date because the Organilleros 2025 Festival in the Historic Center of Mexico City is coming. The main venue will be the Alameda Central; however, there will be activities in other spaces, such as a parade on Madero Street.
Undoubtedly one of the characteristic sounds of Mexico City is the barrel organ. In order to recognize, protect and promote this traditional activity, a very special festival will be held in the Centro.
When will be the Festival de Organilleros 2025 in the Centro Histórico?
This year’s 2025 festival will be held from May 16 to 18 in the Alameda Central, where a photographic exhibition will be installed. The inauguration of the event will be on Saturday, May 17 at 12:00 noon. Afterwards you will enjoy different presentations on the stage that will be installed in the place.
On this occasion there will also be a discussion with women organ grinders, which will be held on May 16 at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).
The parade of the Festival de Organilleros will take place on Madero Street and will end at the Alameda Central. It will take place on Sunday, May 18 at 12:00 noon.
