
The 2026 World Cup is getting closer and closer and little by little more details have been revealed about how this sporting event will be experienced in Mexico City. For example, the FIFA Fan Fest will be held in Mexico City’s Zócalo.
As you know, Mexico will be one of the hosts for the 2026 FIFA World Cup; during this event, different activities will take place in Mexico City, including a festival in the Zócalo, as well as exhibitions and more.
What is known so far about the FIFA Fan Fest in the Zócalo?
Mexico City will host five World Cup matches, including the opening match. However, if you can’t get a ticket or want to enjoy the other matches in a big way, screens will be installed in the Zócalo to watch the games. But that’s not all there will be.
At a press conference on May 7, it was explained that during the FIFA Fan Festival, the Zócalo will have sports venues, a concert area and an immersive exhibition about the ball game.
In addition to the Zócalo, spaces will be set up in Mexico City’s 16 municipalities to watch the World Cup and participate in sports, recreational and cultural activities. Access will be free of charge.
