The 48th LGBTTTIQA+ Pride March in Mexico City will indeed reach the capital’sZócalo on June 27. The confirmation comes after doubts arose among attendees due to the installation of the FIFA Fan Fest in the Plaza de la Constitución in anticipation of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
According to information shared by Mexico City authorities, access to the Zócalo will be guaranteed for those participating in the march. The decision was the result of agreements between Mexico City government agencies, organizers, and sexual diversity groups to ensure the smooth running of both events in the public space.
The news clears up one of the main questions surrounding this year’s event, as thousands of people prepare to participate in one of Latin America’s most important demonstrations in defense of diversity, equality, and the rights of the LGBTTTIQA+ community.

This will be the route of the 2026 Mexico City Pride March
As in previous years, the march will begin at the Angel of Independence on Paseo de la Reforma. From there, the contingents will proceed toward the Historic Center until they reach the Zócalo.
The route will pass through some of the city’s most iconic landmarks:

Although there may be last-minute operational adjustments for security or traffic reasons, authorities confirmed that the march’s route to the Zócalo remains as planned.
The Pride Parade and the FIFA Fan Fest will take place simultaneously in the Historic Center
The overlap between the two events will make the Historic Center one of the city’s busiest areas that weekend. While thousands of people will gather to celebrate Pride and demand equal rights, the Zócalo will also welcome visitors drawn to activities related to the World Cup.
Authorities noted that both activities will be able to take place simultaneously. In addition, some artistic and cultural events related to the Pride March will have additional venues in the vicinity of the Historic Center to facilitate logistics and mobility for attendees.
As a result, the Pride March will retain one of its most symbolic moments: the arrival at the capital’s Zócalo, where thousands of voices converge each year to highlight the demands, progress, and remaining challenges of the LGBTTTIQA+ community.
