There are less than 100 days to go before the 2026 World Cup kicks off. As part of this sporting event, the FIFA Fan Festival will be held in Mexico City, which will feature a giant screen in the capital’s Zócalo.
This was announced by organizers on Tuesday, March 3. The festival in the Zócalo is expected to attract up to 2.2 million visitors.
The main attraction of the event will be a huge 510-square-meter LED screen; in fact, it is expected to be the largest of all the festivals that will take place around the 2026 World Cup.
When will the FIFA Fan Festival be held in Mexico City in 2026?
This soccer festival will take place from June 11 to July 19, meaning it will be active throughout the 2026 World Cup. The event will be free, but prior registration will be required to attend. Additionally, the Zócalo will offer an experience focused on the game of soccer.
In addition to this event, other activities were announced as part of the World Cup. One of them is México Vibra, a series of concerts at the National Auditorium that will take place on June 9 and 10.
We will be able to see artists such as Alejandro Fernández, Emmanuel, Lucero, Mijares, Carla Morrison, Carín León, and many more. Information on how to purchase tickets for these musical performances will be announced at a later date.
