This summer, you’re traveling just for the sake of traveling! This time, you won’t need to spend hours on the road or splurge on gas, because this state is coming right to Mexico City. That’s what the Puebla Festival at Los Pinos will be like!
This huge event will take place on August 8 and 9, 2026. From 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., you can wander the grounds to enjoy a true celebration filled with traditional dances, Huasteco music, and plenty of folklore that celebrates the diversity of Puebla’s regions.
Be sure to come with an empty stomach! Traditional Puebla cuisine will be represented by talented cooks from San Andrés Cholula, Calpan, and Huauchinango. You’ll be able to sample delicacies like mole poblano, tamales, huaxmole, and, of course, the classic chiles en nogada. Plus, at the Tejabán de Cencalli, you’ll find local producers offering coffee, chocolate, honey, vanilla, and mezcal—perfect for taking a little piece of the state home to your pantry.
The musical entertainment will be provided by the CECAMBA Symphonic Band and various groups, such as the Trío Huasteco Hermanos García and the Reinas de la Huasteca. You’ll also be amazed by the Dance of the Tecuanes, the Dance of the Moors, and the storytelling performance with puppets titled “Carmen Serdán: Brave Letters.”
Take a stroll through Plaza Jacarandas to admire and purchase beautiful handicrafts, from polychrome pottery from Izúcar de Matamoros to Talavera pottery from San Andrés Cholula and amate paper from San Pablito Pahuatlán. And if you’re bringing kids, Cabaña 2 will feature fun workshops on papel picado, children’s movies, and clay ocarina-making.
All of this with free admission at the Los Pinos Cultural Complex, located very close to the Constituyentes Metro and Cablebús stations.
