The last one of the year! In September 2026, Mexico City will host another edition of the Pulque, Traditional Cuisine, and Mezcal Festival. In fact, it’s the third and final edition of the year, so if you missed the previous ones, this is your chance to enjoy some delicious pulque shots.
A program that changes every hour
Far from being a simple stroll through the booths, you’ll find activities that change every hour. Both days feature the same schedule: mezcal tasting at 12:00, pairing at 1:00 p.m., creative modeling clay workshop with agave at 2:00 p.m., second tasting at 3:00 PM, pairing at 4:00 PM, a workshop on decorating a coaster with maguey motifs at 5:00 PM, third tasting at 6:00 PM, and, to wrap things up, a sensory pairing exercise inspired by the movie Ratatouille at 7:00 PM.
Upon entering, attendees will participate in “Among Aromas and Agaves,” an activity in which they’ll identify different scents: coffee, cocoa, citrus, herbs, and more. Whoever gets all the scents right will win a welcome shot ! There will also be an interactive station to learn, step by step, about the mezcal-making process.
More than 100 agave expressions and 40 pulque flavors
At the mezcal bar, there will be more than 100 varieties and expressions of agave: espadín, cuishe, coyote, blends, and creams flavored with coffee, pineapple, and other flavors.
As for the pulque, the selection features 40 flavors chosen from among the most popular from the two previous editions, including passion fruit, marzipan, red berries, guava, and celery, in addition to the classic natural pulque.
The culinary offerings include tlayudas with tasajo, taquitos with cecina from Yecapixtla, flautitas ahogadas, enchiladas, chilaquiles, and tacos with chistorra, ribs, or chorizo.
The festival will also feature a market area with sauces, cheeses, chocolates, and Mexican handicrafts.
Please note that those who attended the two previous editions in 2026 and still have their Festival Passport with the two corresponding stamps will be able to receive the third stamp during this event and gain access to a blind tasting and pairing led by a master mezcal maker.
The sessions are limited and require advance reservations through the festival’s official website.
Dates, location, and admission fees
The event will take place on Saturday, September 5, and Sunday, September 6, at Espacio Doméstico, located at Av. Nuevo León 80, Condesa, from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Note that advance tickets cost $60; tickets on the day of the event cost $80.
