After the Christmas season, the Ministry of the Environment (Sedema) and some municipalities, seek to prevent this organic waste from ending up on the street and use it to produce compost and mulch for different areas.
For this reason, during January and February 2026, any person will be able to take their tree or plants to the designated points.
It is essential that the specimens are delivered without lights, spheres, hooks, wires, nails or any decoration, as this facilitates their shredding and reincorporation into environmental processes.
