Places in CDMX inspired by Silvia Pinal
Thanks to her artistic work, different places in our city pay tribute to the legendary actress. This is how we can see sculptures, plaques and even a theater. These are just some of them:
Nuevo Teatro Silvia Pinal
It was founded in 1991 and adopted the name of Diego Rivera in honor of the muralist. Later, this forum was acquired by the actress, who gave it her name. This venue is located at 27 Versalles Street in the Juarez neighborhood.
Statue of Silvia Pinal
The sculpture of the artist is located a few steps from the Parque de los Venados and was made by Ricardo Ponzanelli. In the same place there is a statue of Xavier Lopez, Chabelo.
Painting by Diego Rivera
Although many renowned artists captured the actress on canvas, one of the emblematic pieces was done by Diego Rivera. The portrait shows Silvia Pinal wearing a fitted black dress. The piece can be found in one of the artist’s mansions.
