On the afternoon of this Thursday, September 26, 2024, an earthquake was perceived in CDMX. According to the report of the National Seismological Service the magnitude of the earthquake was 5.2 and its epicenter was 40 k. m. south of Altamirano in Guerrero.
The tremor occurred at 1:03 p.m. and did not trigger the City’s seismic alert. Neither did the cell phone alert sound due to its low intensity. However, X users claim to have felt a slight movement.
Likewise, an earthquake was detected in the early morning of September 26; the epicenter was to the southeast of the Miguel Hidalgo district and was perceptible in other areas of Mexico City.
