This Wednesday, June 24, Mexico will play its third match of the 2026 World Cup. In preparation, more than 30 screens will be set up in the Paseo de la Reforma area and Mexico City’s Historic Center; in addition, there will be free mariachi and sonidero concerts at the Angel of Independence and other locations throughout the capital.
Everything is all set for the Mexico vs. Czech Republic game, which will be held at the Estadio Ciudad de México. As part of the World Cup festivities, screens will be set up at various locations throughout the capital, as well as three stages featuring music after the game.
Concert and sonidero at the Angel of Independence and other locations on June 24
After the match, there will be three free concerts in Mexico City featuring sonidero dancing and mariachi bands. The stages will be located at:
- Monument to the Revolution
- Fountain of Diana the Huntress
- Angel of Independence
In a press release, the Ministry of Culture specified that the concerts will take place from 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.
Where can you watch the Mexico vs. Czech Republic game?
Several screens will be set up throughout Mexico City, starting with the Zócalo, the 18 soccer festivals, the Anahuacalli Museum, and the esplanade of the Gustavo A. Madero municipal government building.
Additionally, 17 screens will be set up along Paseo de la Reforma, one more at the Monument to the Revolution, and several on streets in the Historic Center such as 20 de Noviembre, José María Pino Suárez, 5 de Mayo, and Palma. All are free to access.
