As part of the closing activities for the exhibition El Jardín de Velasco, the Kaluz Museum will present Paisajes Sonoros, a special concert by sound artist and composer Jairo Guerrero. It is an immersive experience that takes José María Velasco’s visual, naturalistic, and landscape-oriented universe as its starting point to transform it into a unique musical offering.
Through sounds, atmospheres, and original compositions, Guerrero will reinterpret the landscapes that defined the work of one of Mexico’s most important artists. The result will be a sensory journey that invites you to contemplate the landscape from a new perspective and to discover the relationship between image, nature, and sound.
A concert inspired by the work of José María Velasco
Jairo Guerrero has more than three decades of experience in the art and music scene. He is a member of The Latin Recording Academy and The Recording Academy, and has been recognized with three Global Music Awards. His work operates at the intersection of electronic music, sound art, radio, and performance, constantly exploring new ways to create experiences for the audience.
For this concert, the composer created a program specifically linked to the themes explored in the exhibition El Jardín de Velasco, allowing attendees to engage with the Mexican painter’s work from a different perspective.
The concert is part of the special program that will bring to a close one of the venue’s most notable exhibitions. Since seating is limited, it is recommended to purchase tickets in advance.
