This mission is much more fun than Apollo 11, and best of all, you won’t need an astronaut suit. Cosmostar is a space-themed café that will take you to the stars without leaving Mexico City… Just head to the Independencia neighborhood!
Cappuccinos with a cosmos on the foam, drinks that sparkle with stardust, and galactic crepes are just some of the recipes on the menu. They also offer classic café options such as chilaquiles, hamburgers, milkshakes, French fries, and desserts.
Although the drinks and crepes are plated and colored like something from another universe, the other dishes also reference space; the names are inspired by astronomical phenomena, and others feature edible wafers with allusive images printed on them.

Drinks range in price from $39 to $119, while crepes and other foods range from $114 to $149.
Make time in your day to visit Cosmostar.
In 2021, this mission did not land in space, but in Mexico City. The project was developed by the Suárez Gutiérrez family with the aim of creating a unique and relaxed concept. What better theme than the universe?
In addition to opening a place to welcome fans and curious visitors, Cosmostar was the perfect excuse to reconnect as a family with a new project.
Games and workshops
Go early to enjoy the cosmic dishes, but also to enjoy after-dinner conversation with a board game; just show your ID to borrow one.
Occasionally, painting workshops led by professionals are held; you can check the upcoming dates at @cosmostarcafe.
We recommend going without rushing, as it is a small place and service can be a bit slow. If you go on the weekend, keep in mind that the least crowded time is from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
If you’re a big fan of astronomy, you’ll love to know that they also sell themed souvenirs here: floating moon lamps, star pens, and even astronaut-shaped headphones… The best excuse to break out your savings!

Hop aboard the spaceship and launch yourself into Cosmostar at Isabel la Católica 1147, Independencia, Benito Juárez. Hours of operation are Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
You never imagined levitating with a galactic crepe!
