This summer, Mexico City offers a unique sensory experience thanks to the workshops at the Museum of Perfume (MUPE), which combine creativity, culture and aromas from only $100 pesos.
The MUPE opens its doors to visitors of all ages with a proposal that turns the art of perfumery into an unforgettable experience.
From creating your own fragrance to discovering the secrets of smell, the museum offers multiple weekly activities that you won’t want to miss.
About the Perfume Museum workshops
Among the favorites is the “Eaux de Cologne” workshop ( $600), with three exclusive options: floral (Wednesday 12:00 noon), fruity (Saturday 12:00 noon) and classic scents (Sunday 12:00 noon).
You can also enjoy the Scent Sessions for only $100, a sensory activity perfect for families or groups of friends, available Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 4:30 pm.
If you want something more personalized, the Your Perfume” workshop ($1,300) allows you to create a unique fragrance from scratch, with expert guidance, Fridays and Saturdays at 1:00 pm.
In addition, the “Sachets Aromaticos” workshop ($150) invites you to prepare your own scented sachets with herbal and spicy essences on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 2:00 pm.
Guided tours at MUPE
MUPE also offers guided tours where you can walk through each room of the museum as you delve into the history, science and art of perfumery.
What will you see? You’ll learn about everything from the evolution of scents to the making of iconic perfumes. These tours are available:
- Tuesday and Thursday at 11:00 am and 4:00 pm.
- Wednesdays and Fridays at 11:00 am, 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm
- Saturdays and Sundays at 10:00, 11:00, 13:00 and 15:00 hours.
