Summerween returns to Mexico City with an edition inspired by classic ’80s slasher movies, featuring plenty of collectibles, a terrifying campground atmosphere, themed food, and a movie screening under the stars.
The event will take place on August 9 at Jardín Juárez, which for one day will be transformed into a space dedicated to horror. Starting in the morning, you can explore a bazaar featuring crafts, collectibles, and products inspired by the genre, as well as enjoy food and drinks while the venue fills with references to the films that left their mark on an entire generation of horror fans.
Movies, a costume contest, and a slasher atmosphere
In addition to the bazaar, the event will include a costume contest with prizes for those who dare to show up in costume. Come evening, the film program will begin with a selection of Mexican horror short films, followed by an outdoor screening of a feature-length film on the same theme.
