Attention inhabitants of our beautiful CDMX! The National Water Commission (Conagua) issued a statement informing about the suspension of water supply in CDMX.
This is due to a failure in one of the control valves of the Cutzamala System, as there was a leak in Pumping Plant 5.
In order to repair the leak and perform the maneuvers to change the damaged part, a total shutdown of the system is required. After this, normal operation would be restored.
How long will the suspension of water supply last in CDMX?
The repair work is scheduled from 8:00 p.m. today, Wednesday, June 19, to 2:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 20. This in order to generate the least possible impact on the population.
We recommend you to take precautions, as there will be a water supply suspension in CDMX for approximately six hours.
The population of the Zone of the Metropolitan Zone of the Valley of Mexico is called upon to strengthen the efficient use of water, given the current conditions of scarcity and the temporary reduction derived from the repairs that will be made to the infrastructure.
