The waiver period is about to end! If you have traffic fines, you can get a 90% discount on the amount owed. Keep in mind that you must make your payment by April 30, 2026, and meet a series of requirements. Take note:
If your violation occurred between January 1, 2019, and December 31, 2025, you will only have to pay 10% of your fine; in addition, 100% of the late fees and surcharges will be waived.
This discount applies to private vehicle owners, as well as to individual transportation service providers, i.e., taxis.
The waiver will apply in the following cases:
- The fine does not involve personal injury.
- This has no connection to any criminal offense.
- This does not apply to violations involving encroachment on public transit lanes or exclusive bike lanes.
This discount also does not apply to violations that are subject to pending criminal or administrative proceedings.
To check and pay your traffic fine, you must visit the official website of the Secretariat of Administration and Finance. When you pay, you will see the 90% discount applied; otherwise, you will need to visit the offices located at Dr. Lavista No. 144, Colonia Doctores.
