If you’re planning to visit the new Tlalpan Floating Garden, it might be a good idea to go at night to enjoy the video mapping projections it offers. They’re related to Mexican muralism and art!
This space called Tlallipan was recently inaugurated; it is a promenade located along Calzada de Tlalpan that features green spaces, rest areas, sculptures, fountains, and pedestrian lighting.
Among its attractions is video mapping featuring images related to muralism and painting in Mexico. There are currently two screenings: Mexican Muralism: The Art That Changed Everything and Frida Kahlo: I Paint, Therefore I Am, which can be viewed in large format starting at 7:30 p.m.
Guidelines for the Tlalpan Elevated Garden
This new space has some rules you’ll need to follow when you visit:
- Bicycles, motorcycles, scooters, roller skates, and skateboards are not permitted.
- You can bring your dog, as long as it’s on a leash.
- Please dispose of trash in the appropriate bins.
- Smoking is prohibited.
- The consumption of alcoholic beverages or illegal substances is not permitted.
- You can’t play music too loud.
- Parties and events are not permitted.
- Commercial activity is prohibited.
- Weapons and fireworks are not permitted.
Remember that the hours are Monday through Friday from 5:00 PM to midnight, Saturdays from 6:00 AM to midnight, and Sundays and holidays from 7:00 AM to midnight.
