What to eat in Tacubaya?
1. Don Lupe’s famous flautas.
When we think of popular antojitos, Las Flautas de Tacubaya tops the list. This restaurant has become famous for preparing one of the most delicious and endearing recipes in the whole city.
Here the flautas are stuffed with beef. On top of cream, cabbage and a spicy and unique red sauce; the star of this dish. Other chilangos know them as flautas de “aire” or “de la “suerte”, because if you are lucky you will get some meat.
This business is joined by Taqueria de Pazon Rozon which serves pastor, longaniza, suadero, cabeza and lengua taquitos. The menu also offers gringas, tortas, alambres and parrilladas. Don’t forget to accompany your meal with a cold tepache.

2. Birria and pozole Los Arandas
The place next to Las Flautas Don Lupe also offers great taste to its diners. Antojería Los Arandas is one of the favorite places for those who walk along Jalisco Avenue hungry.
Besides being experts in pozole and birria, they serve other neighborhood dishes such as quesadillas, tostadas, pambazos, gorditas, tacos dorados and more. Are your mouth watering yet?

3. Tacos de guisado Nueva Era (New Era stew tacos)
But, if street stalls are your thing, then we recommend you try the Nueva Era tacos. This is a real street food place, yes, the ones we are so crazy about.
Here there are different stews every day: chile relleno, ham rolls, ribs, sausage with potatoes, meat cakes, egg with ham, pressed chicharrón, rellena, alambre, pastor, espinazo and much more.
Each taquito is accompanied with rice or beans and a spicy sauce. In addition to great seasoning, you’ll find good prices at this place. Each taco costs 10 pesitos and we assure you that they are well served, so you won’t go hungry!

4. Tortería José
Authentic tortas can only be eaten in Tacubaya. At Tortería José they prepare the most succulent recipes of the area; egg, milanesa, chorizo, cheese and more. But, the best is the one with marinated leg, an unmissable delicacy!
There are also gorditas, sandwiches, quesadillas and delicious hamburgers. In addition to being tasty, you will find cheap combos that include drinks. What do you say, will you try them?

5. La Poblanita
One of the most famous restaurants in the heart of Tacubaya is La Poblanita. This place serves typical dishes from Puebla; among the favorites are the enmoladas and the chalupitas fritas en manteca.
You will enjoy 100% Mexican dishes and desserts. The restaurant maintains a rustic and picturesque décor that harkens back to the kitchens and recipes of our grandmothers. You can also organize private events here.

6. Tacos de cabeza
Still don’t know what to eat in Tacubaya? I’m sure you will love this recommendation because it is infallible. It is a taco stand that, for now, we do not know the name. Although the most important thing is that their preparations are glorious.
Here there are tacos de cabeza, suadero, tripa and longaniza; a true street business without pretensions. From 12:00 you can give your palate what it deserves. Note: the salsita makes all the difference.

7. Pastes Londres
Now, if you prefer sweet snacks, Tacubaya has a few options. At Pastes Londres you will find sweet (blackberry, custard, rice pudding, rice pudding, cajeta) and savory (mole, tuna, ham with pineapple, rajas) fillings. Ideal to eat there or “to eat on the go”.

8. Caldos de gallina Los Arandas
If you need to get rid of your hangover, caldos de gallina Los Arandas will be your cure. The broth prepared in this place is the perfect antidote for the morning after the party, although there are also other garnacheras options.
Huaraches, tacos dorados, quesadillas, sopes, mole dishes, parrillada and much more. It should be noted that this is one of the oldest restaurants in Tacubaya and also one of the most delicious.

9. El Pecao limpio
Now, if you prefer seafood delicacies, we recommend Pecao Limpio. The menu of this restaurant concentrates steaks, empanadas, tostadas, cocktails (octopus, shrimp, oyster, fish) and broths.
Among the most acclaimed dishes are the mojarras al mojo de ajo or la diabla. In addition to the good taste of the dishes, this place is the perfect meeting point to have a drink with friends or have a good time.
