Everything is ready for the reopening of Metro Line 1. Let’s remember that, after maintenance works, this line has reopened in stages. It will be this Sunday, November 16, when the last stations that remained closed until now will be opened: Juanacatlán, Tacubaya and Observatorio.
This was announced by the head of government last Tuesday, November 11 at a press conference.
“On Sunday, November 16 at 11:00 in the morning, we are going to inaugurate. To finally open the Mexico City Metro. Line 1, up to Observatorio”, detailed Clara Brugada, Mexico City’s chief of government.
Although it has already been announced when this line will open, it has not yet been detailed until when the provisional service of RTP will continue, as well as that of Metrobus Line 7. Stay tuned as more details will be announced soon.
Maintenance works on Metro Line 1 started in 2022 and are about to be completed. With the opening of these three stations, the entire Metro Line 1, which runs from Pantitlán to Observatorio, will be open.
It is worth mentioning that soon Metro Observatorio will connect with the Tren Interurbano México Toluca, which will open the Observatorio and Vasco de Quiroga stations.
