The El Rule Cultural Center (Eje Central Lázaro Cárdenas 6, first floor, Historic Center) will serve as the venue for Creative City of Design 2026.
From November 11 to 13, this interdisciplinary gathering will bring together design, culture, business, and academia to envision new ways to shape the future of our Mexico City.
In 2027, our city will celebrate 10 years as part of UNESCO’s Creative Cities Network in the Design category.
So, over the course of three days, some of the brightest minds in creativity, entrepreneurship, science, and technology will share their ideas in panel discussions and lectures.
The main goal is for this event to foster collaborations that can evolve into projects.
So what will be happening at Ciudad Creativa del Diseño?

You can look forward to a lineup of lectures and conversations that will raise questions about how design and creativity can improve life in our city.
There will also be roundtable discussions with experts from various fields, as well as workshops and labs for collective experimentation and learning.
Since this is a cultural event, you can expect exhibitions and galleries. There will also be plenty of interactive activities where you can connect with others.
And if you’re interested in disciplines such as architecture, technology, music, literature, gastronomy, or audiovisual communication, there will be specialized mentoring sessions.
The goal is for all these fields to contribute their knowledge and tools to address common questions about identity, community, the creative economy, and the city’s future.
Remember that the event takes place from Wednesday, November 11, through Friday, November 13, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the El Rule Cultural Center.
“Join us to discover how design connects our past, transforms our present, and imagines our future!” reads the official announcement from the Mexico City Ministry of Culture.
