1. Coffee and Chocolate Christmas Fest

The holiday season kicks off with lots of flavor at the Café y Chocolate Fest 2025. Enjoy coffee from all over Mexico, a wide variety of chocolates (including pre-Hispanic tablets), desserts and sweets.

12. Altar to Frida Kahlo and Juan O’Gorman at the Casa Azul (Blue House)

This year, the Frida Kahlo Museum’s ofrenda is divided into two: Frida Kahlo and Juan O’Gorman to celebrate the friendship and artistic encounter they shared in life. Each of their altars has elements characteristic of the artists, but they are also reflected with two large mirrors to symbolize their unique connection. You’ll also observe photographs of the two and even small fragments of texts that reflect the admiration they felt for each other.

16. International Dance Festival in the Historic Center

The National Museum of World Cultures will host the International Dance Festival “Uniendo al mundo en pareja”.
This event will take you on a wonderful artistic journey that will show how dance is experienced in 10 guest countries, including Bolivia, Spain, Chile, Colombia, Peru and, of course, Mexico. You will be able to enjoy a show that will have everything from Spanish flamenco, Chilean cueca and even Mexican folkloric dance – it will be like a trip around the world through dance!

19. Mozart’s Opera at Cenart

November kicks off with a great musical event at Cenart: the opera “Bastian and Bastianna”, composed by Mozart when he was only 12 years old. The pieces of this emblematic opera will be performed by the Orquesta Sinfónica del Estado de México, conducted by Rodrigo Macías.
