Have you ever wondered what memories smell like? If you’re looking for a truly original plan for this time of year, you have to experience the Day of the Dead at the Perfume Museum.
This venue, located in Mexico City’s Historic Center, has prepared a special event for October’s Museum Night, where memories and scents intertwine to honor those who are no longer with us.
The event is scheduled for Wednesday, October 28, with a host of immersive activities from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
First, you can witness the unveiling of the offering “For Those Who Live On in Our Olfactory Memory,” which will feature a special performance by the “Mujeres Insurrectas” collective at 6:30 p.m.
If you’re looking for something more interactive, sign up for the “Witches’ Potions” alchemy workshop ($250) to create your own tincture, or take part in the “Perfume and Death” scent tasting ($150).
In addition, there will be a costume contest with a $50 registration fee to compete for the top three spots.
Best of all, the festive atmosphere comes with a reward: if you arrive in costume, you’ll get a spectacular 2-for-1 deal on your general admission ticket; the self-guided tour costs $50. Get your tickets as soon as possible!
Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with the afterlife through your senses and experience an unforgettable Day of the Dead at the Perfume Museum, located at 12 Tacuba Street.
