The dates are set! In late October and early November, the Amalia Hernández Folk Ballet will perform at the lake in Chapultepec Forest to present an evening show celebrating the Day of the Dead. There will be only four performances.
In this show , titled “Death in Mexico Is More Alive Than Ever,” the Day of the Dead is celebrated with dance and music, featuring various Mexican legends such as La Llorona. It even pays tribute to various Mexican states, including Veracruz and Jalisco, among others.
The event will take place on October 30 and 31, as well as November 1 and 2. All performances will begin at 7:00 p.m., except for the one on Monday, November 2, which will start at 6:30 p.m. Don’t forget to bring a jacket, as it tends to get very cold at night this time of year; plus, the event will be held outdoors.
