Art can even be found on the dance floor, as we will see at this weekend event. It is a sonidero dance in Laguna that is part of the Art Week 2026 activities .
Let’s remember that this venue in the Doctores neighborhood is joining Art Week with the exhibition Reuse: Architectures of Almost Nothing, which includes 15 pieces that reflect on the use of resources, reuse, and minimal intervention in the world of architecture.
Alongside this exhibition, there is a cultural program consisting of book exchanges, screenings, and, yes, a dance that pays tribute to Mexico’s sonidero culture.
Tell your partner, because this Saturday, February 7, you have a mission to polish the dance floor. The event will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Admission is free, but you must register in advance on Laguna’s Instagram profile.
The talents present at the Art Week sonidero dance
Bring your vinyl records! From 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., there will be open turntables where you can show off your DJ skills.
From 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., there will be a B2B between Monstra Móvil Discotheque and Musas Sonideras, who will play in one-hour shifts. It will be a fusion of tropical, high-energy, and industrial music!
This event will let you experience Art Week with maximum energy and flavor, so don’t miss it and head to Laguna, located at Dr. Erazo 182, Doctores.
Didn’t have time to attend this dance? Don’t worry, because the art continues the following weekend. The Barco Utopía will host the opening of the urban art exhibition Muchos Barrios.
What better way to welcome it than with live music, cumbia, and dancing on the terrace of the venue? This event will take place on Saturday, February 14, and admission is free. Check out all the details here.
