The 2024-2025 school year is about to end, which means that vacations are coming. In Mexico City there will be plenty of activities for the little ones, such as the Exploradores del Bosque event, which will take place in Chapultepec and will have from workshops to excursions for children and teenagers from 6 to 15 years old.
The event is organized by Alas y Raíces MX and will be held in five areas of the Chapultepec Forest between July 28 and August 1:
- Complejo Cultural de Los Pinos (Molino del Rey 252, first section of the Bosque de Chapultepec, alcaldía Miguel Hidalgo).
- Parcur (Constituyentes S/N, third section of Chapultepec Forest, Miguel Hidalgo)
- Ex-factory of Pólvora (avenida Vasco de Quiroga 1401, Santa Fe, alcaldía Álvaro Obregón)
- Community Culture Pavilion (270 Constituyentes Avenue, Ampliación Daniel Garza, second section of Chapultepec Forest, Municipality of Miguel Hidalgo).
- Chapultepec Garden and Scenic Pavilion (111 Paseo de la Reforma Avenue, first section of Chapultepec Forest, near the National Auditorium).
In each space there will be different free activities. Although admission is free, space is limited so it is necessary to register beforehand. It is worth mentioning that children must be accompanied by an adult.
Registration will be made on this page; the deadline for registration is Wednesday, July 23 at 8:00 pm.
What will be in the Explorers of the Forest event in Chapultepec?

As we mentioned, there will be different activities at each venue. For example, at the former gunpowder factory there will be painting, mural painting and even sculpture workshops; in addition, the kids will be able to explore the site.
In the case of Parcur, there will be picnics, skateboarding for children, a rally with scouts and more. There will even be an excursion to the Snakes and Ladders area and a session in which children will be able to paint graffiti.
It doesn’t end there. At Los Pinos, activities will focus on cooking, the environment and even planting. Among other things, there will be a tortilla and amaranth cookie workshop. This is just a taste of what’s to come.
It is recommended that the kids wear comfortable clothes that can get dirty. Don’t forget a hat, raincoat, bottle, sunscreen and lunch, as there will be a picnic. Here is the complete program.
