Everything is ready to commemorate the Day of the Dead in Chignahuapan, Puebla! The Festival of Light and Life has confirmed its 2024 edition. It is a spectacle that represents a pre-Hispanic ritual, a must-see!
This 2024 you will see a parade of torches, a fireworks show and a monumental offering with more than a thousand lights dedicated to the dead. It is worth mentioning that the Mexica societies believed that the lagoon was the beginning of the path of the dead to the Mictlan. In order to maintain this belief, a representative ritual will be performed.

How much are the tickets for the Day of the Dead festival in Chignahuapan?
The show is at the Chignahuapan lagoon during 📆 October 31, November 1 and 2. The cost of access ranges from 🎟️ $300 to $1,200, depending on the area. However, the November 1 show is free of charge. Remember that you can purchase your tickets online.
The performances begin at 🕛 19:00 with the torchlight parade and at 20:00 the Festival de la Luz y de la Vida (Festival of Light and Life) starts.
