It doesn’t matter if you like it capeado or without capear, the Puebla International Chile en Nogada Festival has already started ! The 2025 edition will bring together more than 50 cooks who will prepare glorious recipes. Are you going to miss it?
A little more than two hours from Mexico City, in San Nicolás de los Ranchos, a true feast of flavors awaits you. This is a gastronomic festival that this year celebrates its 24th edition with lots of delicious dishes.
The most important thing is that they are made with ingredients from the region, such as panochera apples, castilla walnuts, dairy pears and Creole peaches. Let’s remember that these are local products.
There will be chiles en nogada starting at $250. But that’s not all, as you will enjoy desserts and other dishes where these ingredients come to the fore.
Please note that you will be able to attend on Saturdays and Sundays until August 24. That is, August 9, 10, 16, 17, 23 and 24. The appointment is at the Unidad Deportiva El Ciprés, starting at 11:00 am.
The Festival del Chile en Nogada 2025 will have tours to see the volcanoes.
This getaway is totally worth it. Not only will you enjoy the flavor and tradition of this dish, but you will also be able to join a tour to visit the walnut trees where the walnut is produced.
The tour is called Ruta del Nogal La Viajera and takes place aboard a streetcar. One of the main attractions of this experience is the beautiful view of the Popocatepetl and Iztaccihuatl volcanoes.

As if that weren’t enough, the event will offer cultural and artistic programming such as workshops, horseback rides, dance performances and even contests.
Among the most anticipated activities are the musical concerts of Los Askis, Los Cadetes de Linares, Los de Akino and Oscar Cruz. It should be noted that the shows are free, so don’t hesitate to go with your favorite people.
