For kids and those who are young at heart! As part of the events celebrating Children’s Day 2026, there will be a symphonic concert featuring songs by Cri Cri at the Gustavo A. Madero City Hall. Admission is free!
It’s time for the kids to put down their video games and discover the musical legacy of maestro Francisco Gabilondo Soler, the Singing Cricket, who entertained us with songs like “El ratón vaquero, ” “La Patita,” and “Caminito de la Escuela,” to name just a few.
The songs that defined the childhood of an entire generation will be back this Thursday, April 23. It will be an experience where nostalgia blends with a memorable symphonic performance.
Mark your calendars! This event will take place at the Poeta Hugo Gutiérrez Vega Bicentennial Art Center (Av. Sur de Los 100 Metros 59, Nueva Vallejo I Sección, Gustavo A. Madero), starting at 3:00 p.m. We recommend arriving early to ensure a smooth entry.
If you can’t make it, don’t worry—during April’s Museum Night, there will be another concert dedicated to childhood. This one is titled “Corazón de niño, Música para los más pequeños y no tanto” (Child’s Heart: Music for the Little Ones and Those Not So Little); the Corazón que arde choir will perform songs by Cri Cri, María Grever, and La niña ajolote.
This show will take place in the Salón de Cabildos next Wednesday, April 29, at 6:30 p.m. Note: capacity is limited to 50 people.
Although if you prefer something outdoors, then head to the capital’s Zócalo to enjoy a Cri Cri concert presented by the vocal ensemble Voz en Punto this Saturday, April 25, at 4:10 p.m.
Whether you head to the Gustavo A. Madero district to enjoy the symphonic concert or prefer the Historic Center, joining one of these shows in honor of Cri Cri will be the best way to enjoy some quality time with the kids.
