
Find your dance partner, because it’s time to put your best salsa steps to the test. In the Tepito neighborhood there will be a massive sonidero dance to pay tribute to singer Héctor Lavoe. If you were wondering when your lucky day would come, it’s here!
This Tuesday, July 1, more than 20 sonideros will gather to play the emblematic songs of the Puerto Rican artist. El día de mi suerte, Juanito Alimaña, Periódico de ayer, Mi desengaño and La murga are just some of the pieces that will get you dancing.
The rhythm will be in the hands of sounds such as: La Changa, Sonido Pancho, Sonido Memín and Salsabor, to name a few of those present. Remember that the party starts at 1:00 pm at Eje 1 Norte and Avenida del Trabajo.
The dance in tribute to Héctor Lavoe in Tepito will feature “la salsa más grande” (the biggest salsa).
This event will pay tribute to Lavoe’s musical legacy and will also feature “la salsa más grande”. It is a massive choreography with a remix of the artist’s representative songs. The exhibition will be presented by El Rule Cultural Center.
