Rediscover the emblematic works of artist Juan O’Gorman in this temporary exhibition! It’s at the Museo Universitario de Ciencias y Arte (MUCA), where some of the most important projects in his career are honored. You’ll even see the UNAM Central Library to scale.
Photographs, plans, paintings, drawings, period archives, temples and personal objects of the artist are some of the pieces present. There are also unpublished and original materials.
Models representing his great architectural projects stand out: one of the Central Library, another of the Museo Casa Estudio de Frida Kahlo y Diego Rivera and another of the Casa Cueva, created by architecture students.
The exhibition is a tribute to Juan O’Gorman for the 120th anniversary of his birth, highlighting the creative process, the evolution of techniques and the crucial moments in his working life. This is a collaborative work between different institutions such as Espacio Nancarrow O’Gorman, IPN, UAM Azcapotzalco and, of course, UNAM.
The exhibition will be available 📅 until April 5, 2025 and admission is free, so you have no excuse to miss the exhibition Todo O’Gorman, Juan O’Gorman.
Please note that MUCA is located at 📍 Circuito Interior Universitario, Escolar s/n, C.U., Coyoacán (next to the Faculty of Architecture) and you can visit it ⏰ Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 to 18:00.
