Undoubtedly one of the essential elements of Day of the Dead is the ofrenda. Museums, businesses and educational institutions all over Mexico City, such as UNAM, present incredible altars every year. This year will be no exception, especially in the downtown area of Mexico City.
The festival of ofrendas of the Centro Histórico will take place from 📅 October 25 to November 3 , 2024. During these days you can visit the altars that will be placed in museums, businesses, educational institutions and more properties in the perimeters A and B of the area.
All about the Festival of Offerings and Floral Arrangements of the Historic Center 2024
As detailed through the account of the Authority of the Historic Center, the ofrendas that will be presented are of free theme; however, each one preserves the traditions and essence of the Day of the Dead.
Later on, the list of spaces that will have an ofrenda will be announced, as well as a map to make it easier for you to locate them and visit all the altars.
Now, if you live or work in the Historic Center and want to join this festival, you should know that registration has already begun. You can register from now until October 23, 2024.
