It is almost impossible to think of Indiana Jones, Star Wars or Harry Potter without bringing to mind his iconic and iconic tunes. To remember these and other legendary songs of cinema, there will be a symphonic concert of John Williams at CU, the genius behind the memorable soundtracks.
If you are a fan of these stories and you get goose bumps every time you listen to the intro of the films or the pieces that set the most unforgettable scenes, check when this spectacular musical event will take place.
When and where will John Williams’ symphonic concert be held?
There is no Star Wars without the Imperial March, nor Harry Potter without that magical celesta that takes us straight to Hogwarts when we listen to it. The strong link between these wonderful songs and the successful films to which they belong is due to John William, the musician who created soundtracks for the aforementioned films and others, such as E.T.
To bring to life those pieces of film music that we can’t get out of our heads and that definitively marked the world of the seventh art, there will be a fabulous symphonic concert by John William that will be inspired by the works of the talented musician.
This musical show for movie buffs will take place on November 12 and 13 at 8:00 p.m. at the Nezahualcóyotl Hall, in the University Cultural Center of Ciudad Universitaria.
Under the talent of the Orquesta Sinfónica de Minería, we will listen to themes that have harmonized great scenes of movies like Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Harry Potter, E.T., Superman, Indiana Jones and more.
The program will also include John Williams ‘ composition for the 1984 Olympics.
Tickets are already on sale and the price ranges from $400 to $800, depending on the area in which you choose to enjoy this concert with orchestra.
