You don’t need a time machine to see these enormous animals in person. Check out these spots to see dinosaurs in Mexico City (and nearby areas).
Each one has different attractions; while one has dinosaurs that move and make sounds as if they were real, other areas feature skeletons and fossils. Get ready for a Jurassic adventure. Let the kids know.
Iztapasauria

Iztapasauria opened in December 2021 and features 20 dinosaurs, at least 13 of which make sounds and move as if they were real specimens.
During your visit, you’ll see dinosaurs such as the Pterodactyl, the Giganotosaurus, and the Omeisaurus, among many others. In addition to learning more about these animals, children can participate in various workshops.
It is open Tuesday through Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Admission is free.
Natural History Museum

Inside this museum, you can see a replica of the enormous skeleton of a Diplodocus, an animal that was 25 meters long, as well as other specimens. It is located within the Four Vaults Complex, in the Evolution of Life section.
In this area, you’ll learn more about the geological eras and the fauna that existed during the Ice Age. The park is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

This is another place where you can see dinosaurs in Mexico City. It is a site where you can view fossils of creatures that lived during periods such as the Paleozoic and Mesozoic eras.
The dinosaur section isn’t very large; however, visitors can learn about these and other animals that lived on Earth millions of years ago. There are also meteorites. You can visit from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Dinoexcava Aragón

Here, you won’t just see animatronic dinosaurs—you’ll also dig and discover fossils. Best of all, the experience begins with a talk where you’ll learn more about these extinct animals. Visit Tuesday through Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

This place isn’t in Mexico City, but it’s very close. It features an attraction called the Jurassic River, where you’ll encounter various specimens as you ride on a boat.
You’ll be accompanied by guides who will tell you all about these animals. There’s also an attraction called Land of Dinosaurs where children can discover fossils. It’s open Tuesday through Sunday and on holidays from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Chimalpark

In this Jurassic world, you’ll find 19 life-size animatronic figures—prehistoric dinosaur specimens with mechanical movement. It’s an incredible way to surprise the little ones in the family! In addition to taking photos with the giant creatures, you’ll take a boat ride on the artificial river and can even zip-line down a 100-meter track (for children over 6 years old). Best of all, admission is only $20.

Here we have all kinds of options for dinosaur fans. More than just seeing them, here you can enjoy food inspired by these enormous creatures. There’s everything from dino nuggets and dino cookies to dino burgers with fries. Open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

This park is not in Mexico City, but it’s an ideal place to see dinosaurs. You’ll find life-size replicas, as well as fossils and models that recreate the habitat of these giants. It’s open Tuesday through Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Admission is free.

Very close to Mexico City is this recreational center where you’ll see enormous dinosaurs, including one in a lake. The dinosaurs function as play structures; however, we recommend supervising your little ones while they play. The best part is that they’re open every day from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

This one isn’t in Mexico City either, but it’s a great option if you decide to take a day trip. It’s less than two hours from the city! The El Rehilete Interactive Museum has a park with giant dinosaurs. There are more than 40 life-size exhibits. You can visit Tuesday through Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

It is located in Toluca and is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. You can get there by Interurban Train. The exhibition will be open until August 30, 2026.
