The World Cup will also be experienced outside the stadiums, and one of the most exciting spots in Mexico City will be in Santa Fe. La Mexicana Park will temporarily suspend its usual activities to become “La Grada en La Mexicana, ” a free soccer festival featuring match broadcasts, interactive games, and activities for the whole family.
From June 11 to July 19, this space will become a major gathering spot for fans who want to watch the World Cup matches as a community. The project is part of the initiatives coordinated by the Cuajimalpa and Álvaro Obregón municipal governments to turn Santa Fe into one of the main gathering areas during the World Cup.
Details and access to La Grada en La Mexicana
In addition to live broadcasts of various matches—including those of the Mexican National Team—the festival will feature sports activities, themed experiences, games for kids, and some special surprises for visitors.
The iconic Santa Fe Park will become a large gathering space for socializing and celebration centered around soccer throughout the World Cup season.
The initiative also aims to welcome domestic and international visitors arriving in the city during the World Cup and offer a safe, 100% family-friendly public space to enjoy the tournament.
Although admission to La Grada en La Mexicana will be free, access will be limited due to the high turnout expected. Therefore, those interested must register in advance each day using a QR code available on the official Parque La Mexicana app.
If you want to come watch the matches with friends or family, it’s best to reserve your spot in advance, especially for the tournament’s most anticipated matches.
