Get ready for a very special night. The Luis Enrique Erro Planetarium has organized an event to view the lunar eclipse taking place next Thursday, August 27. Come check out this astronomical phenomenon through telescopes. Admission is free.
The eclipse we’ll see will be partial, meaning the Earth’s shadow won’t completely cover the Moon; however, it’s still a must-see spectacle. It can be seen with the naked eye, but several venues in Mexico City have organized events to view the eclipse through telescopes. Take note!

During this event, you’ll be able to view the eclipse through a telescope. Just keep in mind that this astronomical observation is subject to weather conditions, so let’s hope it doesn’t rain so we can see it without any problems.
Activities will begin at 8:00 p.m. and end at 10:00 p.m. This planetarium is located at Av. Wilfrido Massieu 394, Nueva Industrial Vallejo, in the Gustavo A. Madero borough. Admission to the observation will be free.
Remember that the eclipse begins at 7:25 p.m. and will reach its peak at 10:14 p.m. It will end at 1:02 a.m. on Friday, August 28.
As we mentioned, there are other venues hosting events to view this lunar eclipse. Telescopes will be set up at all the Pilares locations to view this phenomenon between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
Another option is the event at the Chimalhuacán Planetarium, which will take place in the municipal seat of that municipality in the State of Mexico, from 8:30 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. Do you already know where you’ll be watching the eclipse?
