
As you surely already know, on 📆 Wednesday, January 29 several cultural venues in the city will have extended hours and special events. The Museo del Estanquillo joins the Night of Museums, where the legendary vedette Lyn May will perform.
Together with curator Gustavo Prado and writer Arturo Rico, she will give the talk Vestir la noche: vestuarios de vedettes. Attendees will learn about the history of cabaret in Mexico, as well as the importance of the costumes worn by the dancers, which had a great cultural impact during the golden age!
This evening will have many surprises for you, plus admission is free. Please note that seating is limited to 70 people and there are no reservations. Access will be on a first-come, first-served basis, so we recommend you arrive early.
The talk with Lyn May at Noche de Museos 🕛 will begin at 19:00 and will be held on the terrace of the building, so don’t forget to bring a good sweater to protect you from the cold. Remember that the Museo del Estanquillo is located at 📍Isabel La Católica 26, Centro, Cuauhtémoc.
