Among the Day of the Deadplans in the city to celebrate the memory and tradition of the deceased, the popular catrina parade is one of the most spectacular and this 2025, in addition to its wonderful themed contingents, there will be a great closing of the Mega Procession of Catrinas with a concert.
So in addition to seeing hundreds of catrinas inspired by different themes, with a huge variety of colors and dazzling costumes, we will enjoy good music that will make us take our best steps.
This is the schedule and artists of the Mega Catrinas Procession concert.
It’s going to be a big party! This event will have 16,000 participants and 40 themed contingents, according to Jessica Esquivias, producer of the parade. But that’s not all, the Mega Catrinas Procession will have a closing concert.
This parade will fill the main avenues of the capital with color and tradition and will begin at 18:00 at the Angel of Independence. But in addition to offering an amazing show of catrinas of various styles, there will also be musical talent harmonizing the celebration.
From 2:00 p.m. there will be a stage at the Angel of Independence with musical performances. Among the artists that will set the festive mood are Carlos Campos Orchestra, Los Muertos DeCalifornia (mixing tuba, trumpet and hip hop beats) and El Mateo Lopez with his mariachi.
Among the mix of musical genres and rhythms, the Mega Catrinas Procession will get everyone dancing to enjoy the parade even before it starts.
The procession will travel along Paseo de la Reforma and, according to the event’s production, the first contingent is expected to arrive at the Zócalo around 8:30 pm. The grand closing will have a stage for a concert by Mackonde, the Mexican eclectic rock band.
The closing concert of the parade will also feature the Pérez Prado Orchestra, whose musical talent will fill the Zócalo with rhythm and all the festive spirit of the Day of the Dead.
